Andrew Brickell, Coach and Workshop Presenter

 

Andrew is a management consultant with 49 years of experience in civil engineering, with emphasis on procurement and management of projects and the law and practice of construction and maintenance contracts. He has worked in 20 countries.

 

Andrew's experience in capital and operations contract procurement and management includes:

• A wide range of civil engineering and building projects as adviser to clients or contractors

• Contract strategy formulation, documentation, procurement, administration, dispute resolution

• Professional trainer and lecturer in contract management and project management for more than 30 years

• Contract management under NZS 3910/6/7, FIDIC, NEC3, claims processing and rebuttal, arbitration.

• Chartered Professional Engineer (NZ) and previously Registered Engineer, since 1972

• Fellow, Engineering NZ (former Institution of Professional Engineers NZ) Promoted 1991, Member since 1972

Stephen Moore, Workshop Presenter

 

Stephen is a professional engineer contracts specialist with over 30 years’ experience in infrastructure projects, in NZ and internationally.  His focus over the past 10 years has been on contract strategies and tender/contract documentation. Stephen's experience contract procurement and management includes a wide range of water, waste water, solid waste, hydropower, power transmission and distribution projects, contract strategy formulation, tender documentation and evaluation, administration and closeout, and contract management under NZS 3910/6/7, FIDIC and World Bank conditions of contract.

 

Bruce Buxton, Workshop Presenter

 

Bruce has nearly 40 years’ experience in road maintenance and construction; particularly since 1988 in the procurement and management of these services by contract under various versions of NZS 3910 and the newer 3917. ​ He is an experienced Engineer to Contract. In NZ,  this has mostly been using NZS3910.  Bruce also has experience managing large Maintenance Contracts in the Pacific Islands using a modified version of this, and also with the role of Engineer under the FIDIC suite of General Conditions.
